From a young age, I always knew I loved art. Everyone always had their favorite subject in school and mine was art class. There was something about being able to create that always made me feel good inside and with a name like Lovemithe Bastien I just knew I was innovative. Born in PAP, Haiti, I came to the US at the tender age of 4 years old. I was introduced to art in kindergarten and have been in love with it ever since. As life went on, I found myself putting creating to the side and pursuing to become an elementary school teacher. My senior year in high school I took the fundamentals of art thinking that class was going to be an “easy A”. My teacher was Mrs. Bringardner, I’ll never forget her. She was patient with me. She pushed me to do my very best and to be proud of every painting that I made. She taught me the basics of art and so many techniques that I still use until today.  I got my associates of art degree, but I decided I no longer wanted to pursue teaching. I found myself in a deep depression and decided to buy a sketch book to help escape my feelings.  Behold, I was creating again. I started off copying simple doodles from the internet and next thing you know, I had my own pieces to show for. Over the years, I have created so many different paintings and decided painting/drawing wasn’t it for me. I started hosting my own sip & paint sessions, launched an apparel line celebrating and broadcasting my art pieces. Followed by that, I dropped a candle line. Then body cast & body painting  was next. Now, I even own a care line that promotes self love. Anything that allows me to create and work with my hands, I am more than capable of completing it. I have so much to show for and I can’t wait to see all my dreams unfold in the next couple of years. The sky is not the limit, it’s actually the beginning
